Will a shop take back this item?

I bought some leggings three weeks ago as a present but they didn't fit them so now I want to take them back. Most shops let you take them back before 4 weeks (it's only been three) but I've lost the reciept. I can tell them the exact day I went and I can also say that I bought a leather jacket on that day also but unfortunately I don't remember the name of the person that served me in the shop. The shop aws H&M do you think they'll let me take it back? I don't want to go all the way there just to change it to find that they won't let me!!! Thanks

they should let you return it but you will get store credit back.
don't expect getting any physical money.

• They might not offer a refund without a receipt, but they will most likely permit you to make an even exchange for a different size or merchandise of equal value. I recommend calling them and asking. Then you'll know for certain.
• They should let you, argue abit and say i want to see the manager. they'll soon take them back :)
• who knows stop wasting your time here and try to take it back and then see what happens
