Resolved Question
How do you deal with indirect aggression among women in the work place?
I generally tend to avoid women, I've had too many experiences with 'girl hate' (indirect aggression from women) and tend to get on far better with men anyway.
In the workplace it's a different matter, girl hate is worse in work than in social situations, in some places (offices, call centres) it's not much different to the sort of problems you'd get with high school girls attacking each other indirectly, and most female managers are far more aggressive towards other women.
I just don't know how to deal with it, because it's 'indirect' it's not something that you can complain about without something really solid, girl hate isn't healthy but how the hell do you get other women to realise that?

- Just let them get on with it. Bitching is the self-constructed glass ceiling for the vast majority of females at work.0% 0 Votes
- Talking to HR or personnel is fine if you have a big problem or proof of broken rules/discrimination etc. But to go to them and say "I don't like the way these girls behave" will make you look like a wimp and a troublemaker.
All you can do is try to rise above it all. You have to show some sign of trying to get along with colleagues even if you'd prefer not to. Just walk away from any conversation that you don't like. This sort of thing happens in many places where a lot of girls work together - it's like there's some sort of competition going on between them and they're all out to discredit others by any means possible just to make themselves look better. You have to learn to deal with it, but unless you make some effort to get along with these people you will always be a target.0% 0 Votes
