What are my rights with this company?
I live in The u.k this is a web based company in America here is the story i feel as if i have been robbed and want to get some compensation of them
Dazzle white sent me an email claiming i was eligible for a free trial kit but pay for $2 post so like an idiot believing them i entered in my card details all of a sudden the price shot up to $14 the next day i wanted to cancel this i contact them by now they had given my card details to a third party who enlisted me automatically on a magazine contract worth £30 a month every month with club fitness So i contacted them look i said I'm not paying for a magazine contract oh they said its in the terms of service i read the terms and conditions i said look I have just read the terms of service and there is no mention of magazines what the the hell does magazine have to do with a free sample of teeth whiting gel? I said look who are you to order magazines with my card oh they say you will have to ring them up and cancel like its my problem.
So i do and cancel the magazine subscription now to the teeth whitening look i say this is just a con i want my money back and i want to cancel this sorry your shipment has already been posted because you have cancelled your service the free trial will now cost $86 i said no way i am not going to pay that they said OK look after you get your trial in the post Send it back back to us and you wont be charged any payment
fine i said a month goes by no trial in the post i contact them oh its lost in the post they say it will be there in a few days i wait until the end of the month my card is charged i contact them again
i say look i haven't received any product of you where is my refund you have had a month and a half to post it and i have not received anything oh sorry even if you sent it back you wouldn't get a refund we don't give refunds sorry so i been robbed £35 in total of charges on my card and received no item i have chases it up and up I have reported them to trading standards and the government websites but
all they sent me was just a bit of advice about how not to fall victim to scams in the future they don't even care i have been robbed i am having to try and get my own back why its my money been taken away for no reason they have caused me a lot of stress and wasted a lot of my time til this date i have not received anything from them i paid for post 16 november 2009
please help am i entitled to any compensation of them what are my rights nobody seems to care i was robbed i sent my card a detailed letter about what happened but no reply been week and a half now please help.

As the company is USA based.
Search for what ever the USA equivalent is to the UK trading standards. If you know their location, consider contacting a local newspaper..
In the meantime contact your card company to ensure that this company can not take further payments. Request a new card with a new number.
I suspect it will be doubtful that you will get your money back....

- Get yourself a prepaid credit card such as 3vcash. I use one for on line purchases after having my fingers burnt like you. You can only spend what is on the card and these companies cannot take the p*ss by charging continual amounts for ever more that never cease.

- The best thing to do is file charge backs with your credit card company and get a new card issued to you.
- Contact Trading Standards. This is the sort of thing they investigate.

It's a scam. 99% of all "free" offers are a scam.
Now all you can do is go to your credit card company and file a complaint and ask that they refund the charges. I'm sure nearly every credit card company in the world has gone through this with Dazzle White so the probably know exactly how to handle it. If they refuse, however, just tell them that you lost the card and want a new one with a new number.
And please, pretty please, check out companies before you send them your credit card information. You'll save yourself so much grief.
