Resolved Question
How long will the recession last?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
The recession is on the verge of ending. That's the good news.
The bad news is that the results of the recession; unemployment, national debt etc will probably take 5 to 10 years for a full recovery.

- The recession will last until we clean up our financial system with reforms, and innovate our way into a more sustainable system for the economy, family well being and environmental stability. That means we need to discipline our choices, based on changing our values such as:
- Smaller, more energy efficient houses and buildings.
- More energy efficient ways of traveling.
- Smarter ways of choosing food, clothing, entertainment, travel, etc.
- Smarter, more caring ... everything!
We're at a cultural crossroads that is much like a family going through a divorce, just on a much larger scale. Every member of the family needs to make real adjustments for the new, more complicated future that affects not only the two adults, but the kids, their friends, the grandparents, and their future. Yep, that's an analogy, but one we can relate to and use as a guide for making daily choices that can make our personal and community scale decisions better, more sane and beneficial for the longer term.Source(s):
