depensing on wether you get a redundency pay off, if you get more than £6,000 you will not get ANY benefits, you will be expected to live off of your redundency money.
If you get less than £6,000 but over £1,000 you will be able to get income based ESA, this will reflect on what u have earned in the latest tax year, any tax credits your wife is getting will alos be classed as income against this ( i was told this yesturday at an A4e pathways meeting linked to the jobcentre ) if you get no pay out you will be able to claim income based jobseekers allowance, housing and council tax benefit until you find another job, if its your own house and u have a mortgage you can get help towards paying it but they will not pay all of it.
You should be entitled to full tax credit help until your back into work, then you will have your payments adjusted.
dont think by not telling them you will get more money because they ask for proof of everything
